Danby has been a mainstay in Canadian heating and cooling for decades. There 13,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner is a great option for most rooms, rated up to 400 Sq. Ft. The 3-in-1 design offers an air conditioner mode, fan mode, and dehumidifier mode, making it great for multi-use applications.

The more affordable Senville Mini Split offers affordable heating and cooling with a mini split at a great price. While it does require professional installation, it is a great permanent heating and cooling. It heats up to -15C, with a SEER of 17.

09 — De'Longhi 12000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, Dehumidifier & Fan + Cool Surround Remote w/Built-in Temperature

The De’Longhi Pinguino 6800 is a 12,000 BTU portable air conditioner. This is an ultra quite portable air conditioner, and potentially the most premium in its class. It is also supposed to be up to 30% more efficient than other portable air conditioners in its category. We haven’t done a physical test with this one, but definitely on our consider list based on its features.

10 — FFRA062WA1 Frigidaire Window Mounted Room AC 6000 BTU

Another great option by Fridgidaire, is the FFRA062WA1 Window Mounted Room AC at 6000 BTU. It is another no-frills option, but is backed by a great price. So if you are in market for a cheap and affordable window air conditioner, this may be the one for you.
